Hey there! So you found the most interesting page on my site. This is my recent Oahu wedding, Hawaii wedding page. Honestly, it's a blog. The story behind this blog, well, it started out purely about Hawaii weddings, then it evolved into everything and "all of the above." Basically, ITS MY THOUGHTS!! So I write about anything on here. I updated this blog quite frequently. You can learn more about me, my quirks, my style here. And of course, you'll get wedding tips as well. Call me if you want to make me richer..I mean, book my services! 1-877-WED-IN-HAWAII or email me at info@dreamweddingshawaii.com
Make your wedding more green friendly by paying strangers
WANT TO INCREASE YOUR WEDDING BUDGET FOR THE HELL OF IT?...more "green" nonsense, brought to you by the environmentalist...Well, let me first just say, its' nice to be blogging again. I had to take a short break as I had so many weddings with video coverage, that it just wore me a bit out. I'll be writing about them, and a few of my past weddings (that I missed blogging about last year!) in the next couple of days. But hey, I don't want to write about any wedding tonight. Why? Because I'm feeling a little big "green" between the ears.
Now for all of my regular blog readers out there, there is no doubt that I make it clear that politically, I'm a conservative, and I'm not a fan of this Obama administration. I'm also not a fan of the green movement in America and across the world. I cringe at the activities carried out in the name of environmentalism. Everything now, is Co2 this and Co2 that. And everything is "the debate is over, the science is in..." Yes, we've heard that rhetoric before. For environmentalist it's always "Global warming is a fact, not just a theory. The debate is over, all the scientist agree it's true, so it must be true..." When in reality, there are hundreds of thousands of scientist, and physicist who believe that Global Warming is caused by the sun and just part of natural trend.
For the economy, Obama as said something very similar. That "The debate is over, and all the economist are in, that we, the Government, must spend our way out of it." Well, that is again, far from true. There are hundreds of thousands of economist who say the Government is just making things worse by spending trillions dollars.
It's the same ole political rhetoric. So I knew go green crap-o-la, was eventually going to hit the wedding proverbial fan. I got this email by some left wing nut today, demanding that I have my wedding couples pay "carbon credits" to offset their pollution. He also labled me a neo-con, and also told me to shove it where the sun don't shine because I make money for what I do. He or She or shim, gave me this site... http://www.terrapass.com/wedding/ A place where you can throw money at NOTHING. Check it out. You can go there, fill in how many guest you have, and it will spit you out a bill (which you can pay online), to make your wedding.. GREEN. I filled in the blanks for a wedding of 40 guest, with 20 hotels. The total carbon credit bill comes to $500.00. Nice. Where is the money going? Hmm....who knows. So they are charge $500.00 for...hmm...nothing? Just another environmental scam. It's only a matter of time though till this administration makes the cap and trade carbon policy, real. Then you'll have to pay $500.00 in green fees, for nothing. That I fear. To date, enviromentalism has scared away a lot of great things in Hawaii, such as the Superferry, a boat which could take cars from one island to the next. They are trying to limit weddings in the name of enviormentalism, but are doing nothing about the homeless who pollute and deal drugs on the beach. When it comes down to it, the green movement has little to do with the enviroment, and everything to do with targeting the people who make money in this world.
It's just scary at how ingorant this world has gotten.
